No will is necessary to designate RAICES as a beneficiary of your IRA, other qualified retirement plan, life insurance, donor-advised fund, or bank account. You may name RAICES as a beneficiary, accomplishing a charitable goal while realizing significant tax savings.
You maintain complete control over the asset, and after your lifetime, the plan passes to support RAICES, free of both estate and income taxes. Please consult with your financial advisor regarding the tax benefits of such gifts.
Simply request a change of beneficiary form from the administrator of your plan, policy, fund, or account. Complete and return the form to your administrator and notify RAICES via email at rhonda.armor@raicestexas.org.
