The Bus Station Project began in April of 2018 and since then has served more than 9,000 families and individuals. The Project takes place at the Greyhound station and Migrant Resource Center, where families and individuals arrive after their release from Border Patrol facilities and ICE detention Centers. At the core of the Project’s operations is to provide a warm welcome and work towards restoring dignity. The Bus Station Project’s main purposes are to provide important information regarding the next steps in people’s immigration process, raise awareness to apprehension, detention, and release patterns, and connect people with avenues of continuing support where referral partnerships have been established.
