Despite being characterized as the enemy in the media, the immigrant community is here to remind us all of the beauty in migration.
Migration is nothing new; it has happened throughout history, and it will continue to exist. Those who have crossed borders searching for more are not at fault and should not be penalized. In fact, the root causes of migration can be traced back to the United States foreign policy.
We see a different vision of the borderlands. We believe that our communities should build bridges not walls, and we believe in reclaiming the border as a sacred place.
