This June will be the 4 year anniversary that Sheriff Bill E. Waybourn signed the 287g contract in Tarrant County, Texas—a program designed to give police officers authority to act as ICE agents inside local jails. The Tarrant County jail is notoriously known for the many deaths that occurred in the last year and the unsanitary conditions in which people are kept in.

We have the power to fight back. Together, we can end police and ICE collaboration once and for all starting in Tarrant County. A win in Tarrant County would build the momentum we need to end 287(g) in other cities and counties across the country.
