House Democrats just passed the budget reconciliation package, better known as the ‘Build Back Better’ bill, which includes immigration provisions that would give more than 6 million undocumented people who arrived in the U.S. before 2011 up to 10 years of work authorization. This is a narrow step in the right direction, but it is not enough. As the bill moves to the Senate, we’ll need all hands on deck to push Senate Democratic Leaders and Vice President Kamala Harris to keep and expand immigration provisions in the bill.
