As a clinical social worker, Marisol Girela has provided mental and behavioral health services to youth in residential foster-care settings. She has overseen grant funded programs for nearly a decade and focused on increasing the implementation of trauma-informed care practices in service provisions. She is a graduate of Baylor University and Our Lady of the Lake, where she received her Master of Social Work.

Marisol joined RAICES in February 2020 and currently oversees the organization’s Refugee Client Services.
