Anna L. Flores

Anna Flores has a deep desire to make a difference in her community, and she pairs that desire with her impressive financial leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector at RAICES, where she oversees Finance and Operations.

Through data-driven approaches, Anna supports the leadership team in making decisions, while simultaneously ensuring the long-term financial health of the organization. She has proven leadership skills and works collaboratively across all functions to support RAICES’ mission.

Anna most recently served as Controller for Goodwill Industries of San Antonio. She oversaw the accounting operations for the not-for-profit organization with a $105 million dollar budget that included retail, federal contracts, and Workforce Development grants.

Previously, Anna spent many years as Chief Financial Officer for the Community Action Corporation of South Texas. At the time, the organization employed 600 Texans across 17 counties, with programs including: Head Start, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Early Childhood Intervention, Utility Assistance, Weatherization, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Nutrition Program (Meals on Wheels), Veterans Assistance, and Community Services Block Grants.

As part of her commitment to making a difference in her community and at work, Anna launched and taught a GED program for 40 South Texas students and fundraised and organized events providing free shoes and school uniforms to 3,000 elementary school students. She was also instrumental in bringing Dress for Success to Corpus Christi, having written the local chapter’s business plan and applied to become an affiliate — before completing successful tenures as the affiliate’s President of the Board of Directors and Treasurer.

Anna received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Incarnate Word in Corpus Christi. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration, Emphasis in Accounting, from Texas A&M University in Kingsville.
